Mark J. Weaver Ph.D.
Founder and Director
Dr. Mark Weaver has been a pioneer in learning and behavior change approaches as a clinical psychologist, medical school faculty member, and Founder & Director of the Experiential Learning Institute . He is former president of the Axis Group, an Organizational Development firm to businesses ranging from Fortune 500 to small, not-for-profit groups. He is the author of the forthcoming book "The Storysphere".

As director of a combat veteran's special treatment unit for the U.S. federal government, Mark listened to countless stories as related by returned warriors...eventually prompting his realization that all potential for change (in individuals, societies, and organizations) resides in the stories that are shared.

Mark has participated in hundreds of story circles which have included artists, corporate leaders, non-profit heroes, activists, survivors, native americans, youth...and other members of our diverse global village. Fourteen years as an organizational consultant with fortune 500 companies and small, not-for-profits led Mark to see the embedded, deep stories obstructing change in business and society. He is now passionately dedicated to voicing new stories that help us to release elements of the past … to create a more peaceful, just, and sustainable future.

An accomplished speaker, organizational/business consultant, and film maker... Mark lives in San Diego with his only child... a golden retriever named Jasper.
